Paul's alone in his office. The meeting he had with his father didn't go according to plan: Carl couldn't remember anything.
Paul grabs the baseball ball, and he remembers the way he got it. He was attenting a baseball game with his father, the ball flew out of the fields and Carl was successful in catching it.
"I can't believe you got it, dad!"
"I did it for you, son."
"You're the best!"
Paul is crying now. "I'll never forget you, dad" he whispers. "I love you too much."
