Paul sadly sits in a pew. Todd joins him and puts an hand on his shoulder. The two brothers look at each other silently.
Paul finally says he will get over this, but Nikki is trapped. She was happy with him. He didn't judge her, she just could be herself with him. Todd thinks that's why Nikki loves Paul so much. "Just not enough I guess", Paul sadly says. Todd disagrees. He thinks Nikki loves Paul too much to let him commit to a life less than he deserves.
Does Todd agree with Nikki's decision? It's not for him to agree or disagree, but he respects it. He's sure Nikki thought through this, prayed and got an answer. Paul doesn't like her answer. He and Nikki were great together, whereas Victor nearly destroyed her. And he doesn't want to hear it was God's plan for Nikki to go back to her toxic relationship with Victor, because he believes in a loving God.
Todd wonders if what Paul and Nikki had together might have been nostagia. "They've both gone now, the past and the future with the woman I love", Paul says. Victoria comes into the chapel. She's sorry her mother has gone. She would have been so honored for Paul to join her family. Paul thanks her and gives her a hug. She left. Todd has to go too. He told the priest at St. Jude's he'd hear confessions today. "I got you all warmed up with mine", Paul says. Todd offers to see Paul later, but Paul declines. "If you change your mind, I'm a phone call away", Todd says. He gives his brother a hug before leaving.
Paul's alone in the chapel now. He plucks a white rose from the wedding bouquet and places it on the red Bible. "Goodbye, Nikki", he says before walking out.
