Just finished watching Friday's Cnd show and I'm still confused as to why Heather and Chance are in so much danger and why Chris's presence in GC is going to help them. This back story already seems to have big holes in it.

For some reason if Chance is connected to Heather he's also a target - but if he's not then he's safe? So why does an ADA from Washington have to be involved in an internal out of State police investigation? She's even helping to frame Chance for drug possession to get him off the case - thought ADA's just do the prosecuting not the investigating? Yet Christine seems to be in charge of Ronan the way she was calling the shots today! And if she is finding a way to get Chance out of harms way and off the case why wouldn't she find a way to do the same for Heather? I'm missing something here.

So Paul and Heather are sworn to secrecy about the reason Chris and Ronan are in town.
Nina is going to be none too please when she finds out that her bed mate is keeping secrets from her and siding with her best friend. Is this the beginning of the end for the Paul/Nina romance?

I hope this story doesn't go the way of some other recent clunkers and totally challenge credibility.

Sorry to see the Patty/Emily story wind down. Wonder if today was the last day for Patty. I'd rather it have been the last day for Adam. I sure hope he's not going to get away with this.

ETA: The previews show Paul pounding on Adam's door - looks like Victor and a police officer are right behind him......

Finally caught up on all my taped back shows - including the June Emmys! (Mostly fast forwarding through that though!)

Glad that Paul is staying overnight to protect Heather! That should have happened a long time ago! Finding this storyline a bit patchy though. Very plot driven and inconsistent in places. Trying very hard to find father/daughter chemistry - especially when Paul went to comfort Heather and put his arms around her. It seemed so ......weird?
And Christine breaking up a fight between two 6ft + soaking wet angry men!! She's lucky to emerge in one piece!

It looks like Paul will be on for sure US Thursday and Friday. Thursday sounds good! "Paul and Chris can't escape the past." The picture with Adam and Sharon on soaptownusa looks like the background in the picture I saw of Chris and Paul in SOD, that must be Gloria and Jeff's new place. And it looks like Paul is with Nina when he gets the call from Patty. I wonder if she'll say something to him that will make him not look for her??

I'm still having a hard time with the Heather recast too. I think almost everyone on the message boards seems to dislike her, but they didn't like VB when she first came too. I thought I read one thread that said in SOW someone had written Y&R should just cut their losses with nuHeather. I definitely don't want that to happen, now that Patty is gone, Heather is all Paul has left. Hopefully ER will be able to work the character into someone likable and make the bond between Heather and Paul believable.

Looking forward to Wed. Canadian but won't be able to watch live so hopefully catch it later. It's about time Paul and Chris had some together time.
It's disappointing (but IMO at the same time understandable) to read the lack of support for Heather right now. Paul needs his daughter in town and I hope the backlash won't prompt TPTB to write the character out. My worst fear is that they will see both Williams as redundant if this continues.
I can't think what Patty might say to persuade Paul not to look for her? It's in his nature to want to track her down and not loose her again. Especially given her current health crisis.
Guess we have to say goodbye to Emily next week too?

SH's last airdate is this Friday, Aug. 6. It was kind of sad in the Doug/Olivia Wilder interview how Doug said she's all ready gone and is on Days. Hopefully we'll get more Paul then just Thurs and Fri.

Today's Canadian show sounds like a great one!! Did you get a chance to see it Kynn?? Paul and Christine talk about their wedding day and share a smooch outside which Nina sees!! I think Paul and Nina have scenes tomorrow, I wonder if she'll confront him about it or if he'll tell her? Patty calls and Emily leaves tomorrow, I'm very interested to see how that all goes down! The next couple shows should be really good ones!!

I loved the show today. Nice scenes with Paul and Christine, especially when they recall their wedding. I would like Lauralee Bell to stay on the show.

Oh this is definitely a rewind episode! I actually enjoyed the whole show!

So glad the writers remembered Chris and Paul's wedding anniversary back on August 7 1996. Kudos to them. As Chris said this was one marriage that should have worked.

I did feel a bit sorry for Nina witnessing the kiss (now that was a kiss!!) but it was inevitable that at some point those old feelings between Chris and Paul were going to erupt with Chris back in town. Nina knew it which was why she tried to get Paul to go away!
Hope Chris and Paul have more reminiscing scenes together. The chemistry is still there!

Loved Chris's dress - and Paul looked very handsome today's US! Haven't seen today's Cnd show yet. But hear Patty calls from South America - huh? Did she loose her way to Canada? Give the girl a compass!

Thanks for the re-cap guys!! I haven't seen the show yet but I can't wait!! I was reading the re-cap for today's Canadian show and I thought because Paul and Nina were in a picture together on soaptownusa that they would have scenes but I don't think they did. Maybe the picture is from next week??? I know we haven't seen them in that scene together yet. I can't wait to see what happens next with the Nina/Paul/Chris situation, Nina was right to try and get him out of town!! I wonder if Paul will fess up or if Nina will call him out on it?? I do feel bad for Nina, I know a lot of people on the boards don't like her but I always have liked her since way back when and even though I love Paul and Chris together I still feel bad for poor Nina. Especially after her talk with Katherine the other day. Again, I can't wait to see what happens next! It would be nice if LLB would change her mind and come back for good!

Finally caught up with Thurs and Fri Canadian. (Thanks for the youtube links mathys!)

Paul's goodbye to Emily was touching. Too short though! I know how much Doug loved working with Stacy so there was a special poignancy to that scene. The final Patty scene was wonderful! What a great twist for a beloved character! I'm glad she seems happy again - and contacted Paul - but why is it she seems to do better off her meds than on! I hope she will come back one day but I'm not holding my breath.

On Monday's US Nina is in a funk and very short with Paul on the phone who is concerned that she didn't contact him about Chance's hearing - so he and Chris go over to the Chancellor place to see if she is OK. Nina lets them know she saw them kissing and presumed they spend the rest of the evening "together". She had decided to go and surprise Paul at the opening of Gloworm but she was the one who got the surprise. Paul and Chris tried to convince her that it meant nothing and that they just got caught up in nostalgia over their anniversary.....it all seemed a bit lame. Paul insisted that his feelings for her hadn't changed......I felt sorry for Nina. (And confused about Paul's real feelings for her.) But Nina was very stoic and resolved to focus on Chance and his situation rather than dwell on the kiss and her sense of betrayal. I wish that Paul and Nina had discussed this together without Chris there. I don't think she was reassured at all.

I don't like the direction this story is heading in - not for Chance Nina or Paul. I still don't understand why Chance has to be kept out of the loop in all of this.
Oh - and Heather is annoying me!

Maybe it's just me I but I wish Paul would go back to his shorter hair cut! It's looked really long on Friday (Cnd).
