Heather was born in 1980. She left Genoa City when she was still a baby. She was raised by her mother April Stevens and her stepfather Robert Lynch who was beating his wife.
After April killed Robert, Heather came back to Genoa City where she stayed at Mary's. She met with Paul and Christine who did their best to keep April out of jail. After April's trial, Heather returned to New York with her mother.
On July 13, 2007, she ran into Paul at Lauren's. She explained to him that she just came back to Genoa City as the new ADA. She started bonding with Paul without knowing that he was her biological father. Paul finally told her the truth in November 2007. She was mad at him. At the same time, she made mistakes in her most important case (Ji-Min's murder), and she had to give up her job at the D.A's office. Paul supported her, and their relationship slowly improved.
Heather was hired by Nikki at Jabot and she started dating Victor's son Adam Wilson. She also teamed up with Paul to find out Ji-Min's murderer, and that time, thanks to her father's help, she was successful and she was finally offered her old job back.
