Heather was brought to the hospital after collapsing at work. She is on the phone, promising her boss she'll read his fax tonight. Adam grabs the phone, tells Dennis that Heather will look at it tomorrow and he hangs up. He then explains to Heather that he wants her to rest. Paul arrives and he kindly asks his daughter how she feels. She reassures him.
Adam leaves to get some water. Heather tells her father he didn't have to fly back from Mexico for her, but she's glad he did. Paul smiles at her. His cell phone rings. He takes the call and he learns from Katherine that Victor might be dead.
Heather tells Adam that Victor's boat was washed ashore in pieces. Victor is missing. Adam cries in Heather's arms. When Paul comes back, he tells Adam he is sorry. The young man thanks him, and then he leaves.
Heather asks her father if Victor was his friend. Paul admits he is touched by his disappearance. The doctor comes in. She doesn't like the results, so Heather will have to stay at the hospital to run some more tests in the morning. Heather looks worried, so does Paul. He puts his hand on her shoulder.
