Last appearance: on May 31, 1999 (Memorial Day). Carl is phoning Paul. He wants to know how Mary is doing.
Last time we heard from him: On August 26, 2009 (#9219). Patty wants to know how Carl is doing. Paul answers that their father is still not there.
Carl Williams vanished in 1990. In 1998, Christine ran into a man who looked like her father in law. She secretly did some searches. Paul followed his wife, entered a house and saw his father who didn’t recognize him. Carl had apparently been kidnapped, severely hit and rescued by Ruth Perkins years ago. Since he couldn’t remember anything, he stayed at Ruth’s and fell in love with his rescuer. Jim Bradley (Carl’s new name) came to Genoa City, spent some time with Paul, and ran into Mary because of Ruth. He tried to remember his past, but he couldn’t really. He went back to Norfolk at Mary’s request.
First appearance: On May 27, 1998. Mary is watching Carl’s picture. At the same time, Carl is entering a house and kissing another woman: Ruth Perkins.
Last appearance: On April 27, 1999. Ruth is paying Mary a visit.
Ruth Perkins is Jim/Carl’s girlfriend.
First appearance: On June 25, 1998. Paul, Christine and Mary are at Yves’s. Charlie who used to work with Carl years ago, is joining them.
Last appearance: On May 31, 1999 (Memorial Day). Charlie is running into Mary who is in front of Carl’s grave.
Mary was about to marry Charlie when she found out that Carl was still alive.
