Patty, Christine, Mary and Paul

Christine finds out that Paul has a sister

Mary and Christine are watching a photo album: Paul when he was baby, Paul on his rocking horse, Paul playing baseball ... and a blond girl. "She's very pretty", Christine says. "Who is it?" Mary explains that the girl is Paul's sister Patty. She left Genoa years ago. Mary only hears from once a year, when Patty sends her a Christmas card.

At their apartment, Paul is watching photos too. He kisses Christine, who tells him she paid Mary a visit. "You're the perfect daughter in law" Paul says. "You'll tell me about your talk with my mother later. At first, let's look at the pictures of our honeymoon." They take place on the couch and they start watching the photos, but Paul notices that Christine looks upset. She admits she is and then she kindly asks him why he's never told her he had a sister.

Paul is stunned. Christine wants to know more about Patty, so he sadly explains that Patty was the youngest child of the family. When she became a teenager, she fell in love, but that relationship destroyed her. She was completely desperate, and finally, she left Genoa. Her departure was painful for each member of the family.

Christine has other questions. Paul promises he'll answer them, but not tonight. Christine agrees. He'll tell her about Patty when he's ready. They look at a couple of pictures, they reminisce about their honeymoon, and they end up kissing.
