Paul and Christine's wedding

Paul and Christine's wedding

On Wednesday August 7th 1996, Lynn, Mary, the Newmans, Nina, Ryan, Neil, Malcom and John Silva gather at the church for Paul and Christine's wedding.

Paul surprises Christine with a few words of his own:

Chris, I can't promise that from this day forward you'll never feel hurt or be afraid or heartache. But I can promise you that as long as I live, you'll never face those emotions alone. I can promise you that I will be with you, to stand at your side, to face life with you, the good times, and the bad. You, Christine Blair, are my best friend. The love of my life. And from this day forward, you are my wife. In the sight of God and these witnesses, I promise to be the most supportive companion that I can be. I pray, with God's help, that I will bring the same joy and fulfillment to your life that you have brought to mine. I love you, Chris.

Christine's reply ends with these words:

Keep me in your heart, Paul, as I am today. I pray that, with God's help, we will live and love and grow old together. And through all our years, I will make you as happy and content as you have made me. I love you.

Paul and Christine smile at each other when Reverend Davis pronounces they are husband and wife. The newly-weds kiss, and then they slowly get out of the church.
